A consultant since 2001, Dean Gerson has lectured on career strategies at law schools around the nation and at conferences and professional development institutes organized by the Association for Legal Career Professionals (NALP). She has led webinars for West LegalEd Center on small firm hiring, client development, student debt and networking skills. She has also provided individual counseling to students and recent law school graduates.
Her book, “Choosing Smart: Job Search Strategies for Lawyers in the Small Firm Market,” published by NALP, is in its third edition. The second edition of “The Modern Rules of Business Etiquette,” which she co-authored with David Gerson, was published in January 2014 by ABA Publishing. Her book about networking skills, “Building Career Connections”, was published by NALP in 2007. She is a former contributing editor for Student Lawyer magazine, a publication of the Law Student Division of the ABA.
Dean Gerson serves on the Trustees’ Council of Penn Women, the first alumnae leadership organization of its kind, where she co-chairs the Student Life Committee. She is a member of the Forum of Executive Women, an organization of over 400 executives in the Greater Philadelphia Region working to expand the impact and influence of women leaders in the area. She also serves on the board of the Philadelphia Area Diversity Job Fair (PADJF), an organization that brings law students together with private and public sector legal employers.
From 1993 to 2001, she served as the director of the Office of Career Services at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Gerson received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, a JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law and a MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh.
She clerked for a judge in Philadelphia and worked in private practice in Pittsburgh.

Amy came to the Kline School of Law from the Steinbright Career Development Center where she served as Cooperative Education Coordinator while earning her MS in Higher Education from Drexel’s School of Education with concentrations in Leadership and Administration and Student Development and Affairs. Amy graduated from Columbia University, magna cum laude, where she was a member of the varsity swimming team. She earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center where she served as a Legal Research and Writing Teaching Fellow and published an article in the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. Her legal experience includes positions with the U.S. Attorney General’s Honor Program (Executive Office of Immigration Review), the National Labor Relations Board, and several private law firms.

Elizabeth Dunn came to the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law after seven years at the Villanova School of Law. She is a graduate of Boston College and Northeastern University School of Law. She has in-depth counseling experience and a strong knowledge of judicial clerkships.

Jennifer Moore brings to the law school over 19 years of law firm administrative experience. She is responsible for outreach from the Career Strategies Office, including employment and other data management, support for law firm outreach and Symplicity services including OCI registrations, student communications and Symplicity technical assistance for employers and students.
Prior to joining the school of law, she was responsible for firm-wide attorney recruiting and training for a large Philadelphia law firm. She managed both lateral and entry-level hiring as well as summer associate programs. She coordinated the OCI process, lawyer orientation and has experience with mentoring and diversity initiatives.
