Website Launch

The launch process for your project will vary depending on where it was developed.

Development Server

Sites created on the development server (also known as www-future.drexel.edu) must be packaged and moved by IT. Site deployment is typically managed during regular maintenance windows on Tuesdays between 5-10pm.

University Marketing & Communications will coordinate the deployment and confirm a launch review procedure with the client in advance.

The client must provide a representative to sign-off on the site deployment. In rare instances if any major issues cannot be resolved within a timely manner the site changes will be reverted and a new launch date set.

New/Revised site deployment will completely replace existing content. Clients are responsible for backing up old sites prior to launch.

Production Server

Sites created on the production server (also known as drexel.edu) can be published at any time and will be coordinated by University Marketing & Communications with the client.
