M.S. in Higher Education
The M.S. in Higher Education prepares students with the practical skills, knowledge, and experience to become professionals and leaders in higher education institutions, national/international associations and organizations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and corporations.
The program is designed to provide a strong foundation for career advancement, including preparation for entry level, executive and senior level positions, as well as future doctoral studies. Students in the program include experienced higher education managers, professionals looking to change careers and recent undergraduates new to the field. All benefit from invaluable real-world insights of peers and Drexel faculty.
Students graduate with a primary concentration in Higher Education Administration & Leadership and an optional secondary three-course concentration in one of the following areas:
- Adult Education
- Educational Policy
- Enrollment Management
- Institutional Development and University Relations
- Institutional Research
- Global and international Education
- e-Learning Technologies and Instructional Design
- Student Development and Affairs
- Community College Leadership and Administration
Students may also design their own area of interest from over 35 elective courses available within the School of Education.
Drexel’s highly interactive e-Learning method allows extensive interaction with faculty and practitioners in higher education systems. The graduate Co-op program, an important feature of the degree program, provides invaluable field experience utilizing key areas learned in the program. This Co-op is designed to prepare you for the next stage of your career and can be completed with no interruption to your current full-time job.
