University-Wide Ceremony, Citizens Bank Park

Parking

Parking lots and the gates to Citizens Bank Park will open at 8 a.m. Free parking will be available in lots R though X, indicated on map [PDF]. Please access parking directions to Citizens Bank Park on their website.

Parking for guests with disabilities is located on the perimeter of each of the parking areas, and Phillies personnel will be on hand to offer assistance. For further information on disability services, such as guest drop-off/pick-up, please consult the Disability Resources section of the Commencement website.

Tailgating is not permitted in any of the parking lots.

Public Transportation

SEPTA is the Philadelphia area’s public transportation provider. The Broad Street subway line takes passengers to the AT&T station which services the South Philadephia Sports and Recreation Complex that is home to Citizens Bank Park. It is a several block walk from the station to the Park.

PARKING

There are numerous parking lots and garages located throughout Center City within comfortable walking distance of the Convention Center. Please visit the Philadelphia Parking Authority Locator for more information.  When asked for your location, please type Pennsylvania Convention Center without abbreviations.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

SEPTA is the Philadelphia area’s public transportation provider and offers various options to access the Convention Center:

  • Regional Rail: Trains stop at Jefferson Station, located next to the Convention Center at 12th and Arch Street.
  • Market-Frankford Line: Take Train to 11th Street Station. (Customers may also choose to ride the Broad Street Line to City Hall Station and either transfer to the Market Frankford Line or walk to the Convention Center). The Market-Frankford line can be accessed on Drexel’s campus at 31st and Market.
  • Bus: Routes 17, 23, 33, 38, 44 & 48, and Routes 4, 16, 124 & 125 are within walking distance. City Hall station on the Broad Street Line is also nearby.

THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY

If it’s a beautiful day, consider walking to the Convention Center. Free parking will be available around Drexel’s University City campus, and the walk to the Convention Center is about 20-30 minutes – with lots of interesting and historic sights to take in along the way.

GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES

Guests with disabilities can be dropped off on 12th Street in the pedestrian tunnel. Please make sure to discuss your needs with Drexel’s Office of Disability Resources by visiting Disability Resources.
