Graduate Nursing
Jackie Murphy, EdD, is the associate dean for Faculty Excellence in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University. In this role, she provides leadership in faculty development, teaching excellence and academic innovation across the college.
Murphy is a pediatric nurse and certified school nurse, with scholarly work in pediatric simulation and clinical calculations. She has extensive experience in nursing education and academic leadership and is a certified nurse educator. Her teaching and scholarship focus on online and graduate education, with particular emphasis on student engagement and effective teaching in virtual learning environments. Her current research explores the role of mindfulness in supporting well-being, resilience and learning among online graduate students in higher education.
