Dr. Folasade Kehinde started her medical career in Nigeria, where she graduated medical school from the University of Ibadan. Dr. Kehinde then trained and worked as a pediatrician for many years before emigrating to the United States where she completed a pediatric residency and served as chief resident, pediatrics at the SUNY Downstate Pediatric Residency program at Long Island College Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. She completed her fellowship training in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Connecticut.

Kehinde is an attending neonatologist at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia where she codirects the “Next Steps Program,” a multidisciplinary NICU follow up program.

Folasade Kehinde, MD, is an associate professor of pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine. She is involved in graduate medical education and mentoring of medical students, residents and fellows. Her clinical and research interests include the care of extreme and very low birth weight babies, follow up care of NICU graduates and clinical trials in neonates.

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is a primary academic campus of Drexel University College of Medicine. Its physicians are non-compensated members of the teaching faculty of Drexel University College of Medicine and its clinical practices are independent of Drexel University.
