CAD Lab

The CAD Lab is part of the Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Department (CAEE). The teaching CAD lab is located in room 148 and the student CAD Lab is located in room 302 in the University Crossings Building on JFK Boulevard and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The CAD Lab consists of PCs, laser jet printers, a study table and two work spaces for laptop users.  A large variety of software is available in each machine as well as permanent connections to the university network and the internet.

CAEE Sophomores, Pre-juniors, Juniors, Seniors and Graduate Students, as well as faculty members of CAEE can access the lab by activating their Drexel Dragon Card.   If you are a Freshman, you should be using the College of Engineering Freshman Lab space.

To activate the Dragon Card to be able to enter into the CAD Lab, please send an email caee@drexel.edu, with the following information:

  • Subject : CAD LAB ACTIVATION
  • First name:
  • Last Name:
  • Your Current Student Year and Major
  • Number of your Dragon Card: The number located on the backside of the card on the bottom right corner. Please provide the entire number (it may include some letters and spaces)
    It is NOT your Drexel ID number.

How to use the card: The card should be placed near the card reader at the side of the main entrance. You will hear a beep, informing you that you are able to open the door. If you don't hear a beep or you are not able to open the door, your card may have a problem and should be reviewed or replaced by the Dragon Card Office.

The CAD Lab is also used for lectures and labs. To reserve the lab, please email caee@drexel.edu.
