Ireland

As the capital city of Ireland, Dublin is a vibrant destination with noteworthy tourist attractions and nightlife. With a population of 1.8 million, Dublin is home to over a quarter of Ireland’s total population and has more green spaces per square kilometer than any other European capital city. Although many of Dublin’s traditional industries, such as textile manufacturing, have gradually declined, the city has recently attracted many global corporations in the pharmaceutical, information, and communications technology industries.

Connect-123

Connect-123 provides award-winning, customized global internships for students across five continents in a wide range of fields related to their academic studies, career interests, and personal goals. Their mission is to facilitate experiences that create equal value for international students and for the local organizations where they work. Since 2006, thousands of students from over 600 universities and over 85 countries have participated on their programs around the world. You can also read program reviews from recent participants. Connect-123 has partnered with Drexel University for onsite international Co-op programs since 2016.

Connect-123 will secure co-op opportunities for students in Dublin, Ireland across all fields based on their skills, interests, and goals. Connect-123 has developed hundreds of international partnerships with a wide range of organizations, selecting based on 1) feedback from Connect-123 alumni, 2) the organization having project needs that fit students' interests, and 3) their team's buy-in to the concept, so that they're engaged and excited to participate. Connect-123 advises students during the application process and provides ongoing support and advice throughout the co-op experience. To ensure projects are on track, Connect-123 checks in with students regularly, schedules individual feedback meetings, and reviews written feedback from students and supervisors. They also coordinate peer discussions via Zoom, where in small groups, students discuss their internship successes and challenges, and learning from each other, develop a list of best practices. In addition, they offer professional career coaching sessions and, via their award-winning alumni network programs, introduce current interns to Connect-123 alumni working in their field to help answer questions, discuss job search strategies, and increase their professional networks.
