The PMF Application typically opens in October for a period of about 2 weeks.

The PMF Program attracts Federal service outstanding men and women from a variety of academic disciplines and career paths who have a clear interest in, and commitment to, excellence in the leadership and management of public policies and programs.

The PMF Program, administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), helps agencies meet their critical need for leadership continuity. Students can use this two-year fellowship as a stepping stone to highly visible and respected leadership positions in the Federal Government. In addition to working at a single Federal agency, Fellows may have the option to participate in a rotational opportunity at another agency.

Eligibility is based on completion of advanced degree requirements by August 31st of the following year of the annual application. - OR - If you have completed an advanced degree from a qualifying college or university during the previous two years from the opening date of the PMF Program's annual application announcement, you are eligible to apply.
