Recent Alumnus Turns Graduate Co-op Into Career
Drexel’s International Graduate Student Association’s annual Thanksgiving dinner, hosted last Wednesday with the Graduate Student Association, Graduate College and PRAGATHI Indian Graduate Student Association, brought together hundreds from the graduate student community for a hearty meal and company before the University’s holiday break.
Cybersecurity master’s student, Akshay Finney, was new to the emerging healthcare IT field, but his graduate co-op experience landed him a full-time job offer before graduation.
For a decade, select graduate students have been supported in presenting at conferences across the country, through a travel award program. With the demand for these awards steadily increasing and the benefits that result being more important than ever, the newly created Teck-Kah Lim Travel Award Fund, is aimed at expanding these valuable opportunities.
