Padma Narayan

Dr. Padma Narayan is currently Vice President, CMC at a new biotech startup company. She was previously Sr. Director of Formulation Development at SAGE Therapeutics, focusing on the development of compounds for the treatment of CNS-related indications. Padma was also previously at TESARO (GSK), developing treatments for oncology. She has also held prior R&D leadership positions at The Dow Chemical Company, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer. At Dow, she was leading an organization involved in new product development for agricultural, pharmaceutical, consumer products, coatings, and oil & gas. Her areas of expertise in the pharmaceutical industry involve particle technology, drug delivery, and process development. Padma is elected as an AIMBE Fellow and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of The Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has been an active member of the Society of Women Engineers and American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Padma received her PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Drexel University and her Bachelors in Chemical Engineering at Villanova University.
