When did you realize you were interested in engineering?

Prithvi Ravi

I always loved meddling with things as a child and wanted to know how they worked, so I was always interested in science and engineering from my childhood. I have been logic driven through my childhood and this has inspired me to take up engineering. I first pursued undergrad in NIT Trichy in India and now I continue my engineering journey at Drexel University.

What made you choose Drexel’s graduate school?

Drexel has the perfect blend of theory and practical courses. Also, I would definitely say that the Co-op program is outstanding. I believe that Drexel University, a center of academic excellence, can provide me with a quality education, while encouraging me to network better with a population of cultural extravaganza. I am ever - curious and love to meet new people, try new cuisines and visit different places while learning new things in the process.

Can you tell us about your research?

I intend to join a Research group in Nanomaterials and would love to continue with a PhD in the future.

What extracurricular activities do you enjoy?

I have been learning Indian Classical vocal music since childhood and am passionate about it. Also, I recently ventured into video and audio editing and music production and have been loving that as well.

What advice would you give to students thinking of attending graduate school?

Life is a rocky journey and grad school helps you pave the roads and clear out the rocks.
