Department Co-ops

Drexel University’s co-op program is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected in the world. Test drive career choices by alternating between periods of classroom study and full-time employment in six-month stints. At CAEE, nearly all of our co-op positions are paid positions, earning students an average of $18,000 per co-op. Students can opt between one and three co-ops during the pursuit of their degree. The program provides a matchless source of experiential learning and gives students real-world work skills that make them invaluable as new employees.

CAEE students have worked at Sunoco, EwingCole, Aqua America, Pennoni Associates, Inc., Philadelphia Streets Department, and Lockheed Martin, among many others. We have placement for local, national, and international opportunities.

“The experience I had in a work setting, as well as on a wide variety of projects, really tested my abilities. Tasks ranged from storm water management design, earthwork analysis, traffic impact studies, utility connections, and more. It allowed me to combine a lot of the skills I learned in class with real-world scenarios.”
