Adding or Dropping Courses for Winter 2023–24

The U.S. Department of Education has announced that they will be delayed in providing universities with Free Application for 2024–2025 Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) data until mid-March, preventing schools from creating financial aid packages for students that accurately reflect the amount of federal aid they will receive. We understand how important it is for students to have concrete, accurate financial aid information when they make their college decision, and we want to do all that we can to alleviate their concerns. That's why we're proud to present the Drexel Commitment: 2024.

Through the Drexel Commitment: 2024, the University is guaranteeing the total award estimate provided to prospective first-year students in their financial aid packages from Drexel, allowing them to make informed decisions regarding their college decision without having to wait for official FAFSA data results. This award amount is determined using information from each student’s CSS Profile, allowing the University to create an individualized estimated total including a federal grant aid amount that they are likely to receive — and we are committed to standing behind that number. If a student’s actual federal aid eligibility results in a lower amount than the estimate we provided, the University will ensure additional funding sources cover the difference.

In order to take advantage of the Drexel Commitment: 2024, students must file both the CSS Profile and the FAFSA by March 1.
