Taylor, PhD, director of the Center for Firefighter Injury Research and Safety Trends and a professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in a May 4 Lansing State Journal (Michigan) article about why lack of diversity is a problem in fire departments. The article also offered ways to recruit more diverse candidates.
