Departure of Speaker of the House Raises Concern for Health Care

September 30, 2015

Robert Field, JD, PhD, a professor in the Kline School of Law and Health Management and Policy in the School of Public Health, was quoted in a MedPageToday.com article about what the departure of Speaker of the House John Boehner means for health care.

Field explained he does not believe Boehner's decision to leave congress puts the Affordable Care Act in danger but feels "it may put more pressure on Democrats to try to block proposals to chip away at it, and it could mean that proposals will get as far as Obama's desk and force him to veto them."
