Bio:
Francesca Knudsen is a research coordinator for Dr. Meghan Butryn, working primarily on Project Health. She is a recent graduate from Lehigh University where she double-majored in Psychology and Health, Medicine, & Society. She has been a RA in two labs at Lehigh that focused on examining parent-child communication about health topics and race. Francesca also conducted a Senior Honors Thesis which explored the usefulness of the Advice Response Theory in understanding how emerging adults respond to parental advice about alcohol use. Francesca is excited to expand her research experience within Health Psychology topics and is generally interested in the way that mental health and physical health affect one another, especially in the presence of obesity and eating disorders. She plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
