Getting Started
If you are a novice to the Web you may find it helpful to visit our section on "What is the Web." In this section you will learn some of the history behind the Web as well as what you will need to know before building your web page. This section also includes a "Web for Beginners" page that maps out each step to creating a web page.

If you need any HTML editing or FTP tools, the "Web Tools" section will inform you of what licensed software the university has and how to obtain a copy of them as well as some additional free or inexpensive tools available for download on the Internet. If you plan to take our online workshop on "Building a Web Page" you will need to visit this section to obtain a copy of Microsoft FrontPage.
