Gallery

The Robert and Penny Fox Historic Costume collection is home to a roughly 1,200 square foot, custom-built gallery space that allows for the year round display of the FHCC's collections through carefully curated exhibitions. 

The gallery is located on the first floor of Drexel University's The URBN Center at 3501 Market Street and is free and open to the public. For information about the exhibitions and how to schedule your visit, please visit our Exhibitions page.

Parking

Limited meter parking is available on Market and Filbert streets.

Parking is also available at nearby parking lots and the Drexel Parking Garage located at 3330 Market Street with the entrance on Ludlow Street. Traveling west on Market Street, turn left onto 34th Street and left onto Ludlow Street. The parking garage is located on the left. The Parking Garage is closed on Sunday and major holidays. Exact change or a credit card is required.

Tours

The Fox Historic Costume Collection accommodates exhibition and collections tours for groups of up to 30 people. To schedule a tour for your group, please email us at FHCC@drexel.edu

Please be sure to provide the following information in your email:

  • Contact Name/Group Name
  • Phone number and email
  • Size of tour party
  • At least two (2) potential dates for visit
  • Specific objects of interest

Research

Becoming a center for costume-related research and scholarship is central to the mission of the Robert and Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection. We encourage interdisciplinary initiatives within the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, Drexel University and beyond.

The FHCC accommodates research appointments for individual researchers and academic groups. Access is by appointment only. To schedule a research appointment, please email us at FHCC@drexel.edu.

Education

The FHCC is a vital part of the design curriculum at the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design and is experienced by hundreds of students, faculty, and visitors annually.
