Anna Graham is a documentary filmmaker, photographer, and teacher based out of Boston. She teaches and assists in classes at Drexel University, Maine Media Workshops + College and Harvard University. Involved with classes at a variety of skill levels, she works with subjects ranging from traditional documentary filmmaking (including the techniques and use of devices such as smartphones, digital cameras, and 16mm film) to topics such as experimental filmmaking and film editing. She holds a BFA in Film/Video from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. 

 

Anna also actively freelances as a camera operator, editor, producer, and sound recordist, working on independent documentaries such as Julie Mallozzi’s Circle Up (2017) and Lucia Small’s Girl Talk (work in progress). Her freelance work has also included clients such as Time Magazine, The Harvard College China Forum, and the Peabody Museum of Archeology and Ethnology. Her personal filmmaking often utilizes analogue mediums and she is currently editing a 16mm, nonfiction film about the history of the treatment of mental illness in the United States through examinations of its former psychiatric facilities.
