Co-op: A University-Wide Commitment

What Is Co-op

Learn about co-op, short for cooperative education, the program that balances classroom theory with periods of practical, hands-on experience prior to graduation.

Undergraduate Co-op

Undergraduate students can gain up to 18 months of hands-on work experience while test-driving their careers with the co-op program.

Graduate Co-op

Graduate students can gain six months of hands-on work experience with employers in their desired industries in the United States or abroad.

International Co-op

Drexel University's International Co-op program enables undergraduate co-op students the opportunity to benefit from a global work experience.

Co-op Curriculum

Steinbright offers several courses for students participating in Drexel University's Co-op program. 

Peer Mentor Program

Steinbright's Peer Mentor Program enables co-op students to get advice from students who have already experienced co-op.

Student Policies

Steinbright co-op policies are intended to provide maximum student benefit from co-op enrollment and engagement while supporting the academic integration of co-op across all of the University's curricula.

Cooperative Education Awards

The students, employers. faculty, and professional staff that contribute to the success of Drexel's co-op program are celebrated every year during the Cooperative Education Awards.
