Curator and educator Simon Dove is co-curator of the Crossing the Line festival, and Director of Dancing in the Streets in New York. As curator and Artistic Director of Springdance, the international festival of new developments in dance and performance in the Netherlands, from 2000 to 2007, Dove has followed Charmatz’ work throughout Europe. This conversation will focus on Charmatz' evolving notions of performance practice, and the shifting relationships between his work and his audiences.
