Chris Oliveros March Spotlight

Errol Christian Oliveros is a Pre-Junior Biological Sciences Major from Southampton, New York. Chris began playing the violin 12 years ago, starting at the age of 8. In that time he has attended the New York State All-County Festival from 2006-2011 and the New York State All-State Festival from 2012-2013, as well as performed with the Suffolk County Division of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra as concertmaster. In his spare time, Chris volunteers as an Emergency Medical Technician with Drexel University Emergency Medical Services, as well as serves as the current Membership Development Officer.

Chris was recently the winner of the 3rd Annual Drexel University Orchestra Solo Competition, and as such, he will be the featured soloist with the Drexel University Orchestra, on the first movement of Mozart's Concerto no. 5 in A Major, K. 219 for Violin and Orchestra. 


The concert is March 17 at 7:30pm in the Main Auditorium. Admission is free.
