Gilman Scholarship & Freeman-ASIA Info Session

Monday, January 23, 2017

12:00 PM-1:00 PM

Come learn about scholarships to cover undergraduate study/co-op abroad - up to $8000 in funding!

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship aims to diversify the kinds of students who study and intern abroad and the countries and regions where they go by offering awards (up to $8000) to U.S. undergraduates who might otherwise not participate due to financial constraints.

The Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA) provides grants of up to $7000 to support American undergraduates with demonstrated financial need who are planning to study overseas in East or Southeast Asia. The program's goal is to increase the number of Americans with first-hand exposure to and understanding of Asia and its peoples and cultures.

This info session will provide an overview of the awards, application process, and best practices for constructing a competitive application.
