Donna Gerson

Associate Dean for Career Strategies

Donna Gerson has served as the Associate Dean since 2014. She comes with a wealth of experience advising law students and lawyers. Donna is the author of “Choosing Smart: Job Search Strategies for Lawyers in the Small Firm Market”, “Building Career Connections” and co-author of “The Modern Rules of Business Etiquette”. She is a former contributing editor for Student Lawyer magazine, an ABA Law Student Division publication. She currently serves as the NALP Liaison to the ABA GPSolo Division and is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Legal Academics Committee. Donna is a member of the Forum of Executive Women, an organization of over 400 executives in the Greater Philadelphia Region working to expand the impact and influence of women leaders in the area. Until 2019 she served on the Philadelphia Area Diversity Job Fair (PADJF) board, an organization that brings diverse law students together with private and public sector legal employers. She is an emerita member of the Trustees’ Council of Penn Women.

From 1993 to 2001, she served as the director of the Office of Career Services at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Donna clerked for a judge in Philadelphia and worked in private practice in Pittsburgh.

Gerson received a BA, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, a JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law, and an MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh.


Elizabeth Dunn

Elizabeth Dunn came to the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law after seven years at the Villanova School of Law. She is a graduate of Boston College and Northeastern University School of Law. She has in-depth counseling experience and a strong knowledge of judicial clerkships.


Jennifer Whitehurst

Jen Whitehurst is the Associate Director of Career Strategies at the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. Prior to joining the Law School, Jen worked in Villanova Law’s career strategy office and at a civil litigation firm in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Jen is an active member of the legal community and holds leadership positions in local, state, and national professional organizations, including the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Montgomery Bar Association, and the National Association for Law Placement. She serves on the board of the Philadelphia Area Diversity Job Fair (PADJF) and is the Immediate Past Chair of the Greater Philadelphia Area Law School consortium.


Jennifer D. Moore

For nearly 10 years, Jen has made valuable contributions to the Kline School of Law community through her tireless work with both students and graduates. A graduate of Monmouth University with a degree in Psychology, Jen worked in recruiting and administration for a large regional law firm for many years prior to joining the CSO. Jen planned and ran the summer associate program, on campus recruiting efforts, and lateral hiring for the firm. She also managed the associate performance and development process and was responsible for CLE compliance and associate training programs. Jen’s strong relationships with lawyers and recruiters in the Philadelphia area make her a respected resource for law students and graduates. A member of NALP for over 20 years, Jen attends annual education conferences and is active in the GPALS community, where she helps administer numerous job fairs and programs, including PI/PS, the GPALS Philadelphia Job Fair, and the annual Careers in Government Program.


Amanda Young

Amanda Young is the Program Manager of the Career Strategies Office. She is a 2021 graduate of Juniata College with a B.A. in Politics, where she studied abroad in both the Czech Republic and the Gambia. Amanda previously worked at Ursinus College where she was the Senior Admission Counselor in charge of urban recruitment and remains passionate about supporting diversity and inclusion in higher education.
