How to Stay Grounded and Sane in the Wintertime: A Meditation and Chinese Medicine Workshop
Tuesday, December 13, 2016
12:00 PM-1:00 PM
Winter is the time of rest and
replenishment, according to the wisdom of Chinese Medicine, but winter tends to
be the season of burnout, seasonal depression, and restlessness in our culture.
During this workshop, we will explore seasonal health tips and self-care and meditation practices to help you settle into the stillness and calm of winter
so that you don’t feel as anxious or depleted. No previous meditation
experience is required to attend or benefit from this workshop.
Come learn how to go with the flow of winter rather than struggling against it.
Our
presenter, Monica Fauble, MA, M.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., is the Wellness
Administrator for Drexel University’s Department of Human Resources. She is
also a Licensed Acupuncturist with offices in Center City and West
Philadelphia. She previously studied Japanese Soto Zen Buddhism and the
Ordinary Mind School lineage of Buddhism at the Zen Center of Philadelphia for
7 years.
