In his role as Coordinator, Ryan focuses on campus-wide global engagement, as well as issues related to global safety and operations. Some of Ryan’s day to day activities include planning delegation visits, working with the Global Scholars program, researching world events, and briefing the Director of Global Safety and Operations. Ryan graduated with a M.A. in Balkan, Eurasian, and Central European studies from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic and a B.A. in International Studies and Russian area studies from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Ryan’s professional interests include issues related to international security, especially in Eastern/Central Europe. When not working, Ryan enjoys snowboarding at locations around the U.S, training in various martial arts and traveling the world. He has visited 24 countries to date.
