Drexel Public Realm Plan
Ideas for Improving the University City Campus
In 2015, Drexel University engaged West 8, a landscape architecture and planning firm, to develop a Public Realm Plan for the University City Campus. Goals for the plan include making the University City Campus more positively urban and people-friendly and providing a framework for future development that facilitates connections – to the city, to adjacent neighborhoods and among various campus precincts.
On May 6, 2016, the University held an Open House event with representatives from West 8 and Andropogon to share plans and solicit feedback from the University community. West 8 incorporated the feedback from the community and completed the plan in fall 2016. To view the final version of the plan, please click on the link below. West 8 and Drexel University Planning, Design and Construction thank all who participated in this effort. If you have questions or comments on the plan, please contact publicrealm@drexel.edu.
