Student Perspectives

Lu-An Pan, China

Program: Drexel International Gateway

Lu-an PanAs an international student, It was bound to be lonely to study abroad; but after months of getting along, I found things far better than I thought. I feel like I suddenly have more family members no matter on campus or off campus. I also got a lot of chances to use my expertise and experienced American culture. At the Spring Festival gala held by Chinese students' union, I stood in front of a thousand people as a host. I realized that when I was in public, I represented my school and my country. Also, I have learned tolerance and acceptance in various activities organized by ELC. Life in America makes me more independent and more responsible, I can apparently feel my growth. I think the years of studying in America will be the most unforgettable year in my life.

Program: Intensive English Program

Nguyen Khai DuongIt's not easy for an international student to acquire new knowledge in a new environment without help. Luckily, I have obtained many things which have exceeded my expectation. Living in a dynamic city, studying in a professional environment, making new friends from all over the world, and being respected by the teachers is the amazing feature for me. Drexel University is a perfect choice for me, especially the ELC which is a helpful English center you will never forget. Thanks to the devotion and the inspiration of the teaching staff, I have had a perfect chance to master English like a native American and to be a great man learning about life from lectures given by wonderful teachers.

ELC Student My friend studied here and she told me that Drexel ELC was a great place to study English. The teachers here are wonderful, they teach you many useful skills in the academic English learning. By the way, Philly is a good place to live. I love the museums here!
