AAGA Social Activities
The AAGA hosts various social activities for students, alumni, the Drexel community, and the larger Philadelphia region. The AAGA presents two major events each year; the Annual Art Auction and a Speaker Event. Each term the AAGA also plans trips to local art institutions, luncheons, social gatherings, and more. The program encourages students to take advantage of the social opportunities to strengthen their long-term professional network.
If you are interested in volunteering for a special event or have a suggestion for an event please email Tracy Smith
Art Auction
The AAGA would like to extend special thanks to the nearly 200 guests who came out to the our 5th Annual Emerging Artists and Emerging Leaders Art Auction on Friday, February 8th, 2008. Over 70 items were sold at the auction, and proceeds from the event exceeded $4000! The income generated will help fund the Arts Administration graduate students on their trip to Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C. at the end of March.
If you would like to be involved in next year's auction in any way (to donate artwork, tickets to cultural events, or gift certificates, or to volunteer for the event), please email aaga@drexel.edu.
Art Trips
The AAGA announces a new social program this year: Organized Art Trips (OATS). Each term the AAGA will organize a trip to a local arts institution and offer discounted tickets to Drexel graduate students. This program affords all graduate students the opportunity to experience the wide range of art that abounds in Philadelphia while learning about the different artistic disciplines and encouraging arts participation.

Social Gatherings
We believe that learning doesn't stop in the classroom. One of the most valuable assets that will come out of your graduate study is the relationships you develop with your classmates. The AAGA Social Gatherings provide an opportunity for students to get to know each other outside the classroom. If you'd like to organize a gathering at your house or around town and would like the AAGA to help spread the word, please contact Tracy Smith
