Annual Art Auction Fundraiser

SAVE THE DATE…for the Annual Art Auction Fundraiser: Friday March, 5, 2010

This year the auction will take place in the Bossone Lobby and Atrium. Proceeds benefit Arts Administration Graduate Students to participate in Arts Advocacy Day 2010. More Information to follow!

Arts Advocacy Day

Every year in March the AAGA sends graduate students to Washington, DC to participate in Arts Advocacy Day. This national arts action summit is organized by Americans for the Arts in order to bring together individuals involved in cultural and civic organizations and grassroots advocacy for the arts. Drexel Arts Administration students engage in unique opportunities to network on a national level and spend time meeting with their local legislators on Capital Hill. The AAGA is able to offer this experience to our graduate students because of the Annual Art Auction. The Drexel Arts Administration Graduate Program is one of the highest participating programs in Arts Advocacy Day.

AAGA Holds Event to Welcome the First Class of Online AADM Students with Gary Steuer, Special Guest

The AAGA would like to give a special thanks to all of you for attending the celebration and welcome event for the VERY FIRST online Arts Administration graduate student body. Thoughout the evening online and on-campus Arts Administration graduate students met, mingled, and forged new friendships with each other and were given the opportunity to speak with AADM faculty and staff as well. Our special guest, Culture Czar Gary Steuer, delivered a speech that answered a lot of questions on the minds of up-and-coming arts administrators. The student body was active in prompting further discussions with Mr. Steuer in regards to his achievements and goals in developing communities that appreciate and depend on artists and arts organizations in order to thrive. This evening was truly wonderful and we have all of you to thank for that!
