The Drexel Historic Costume Collection was formed to serve as an educational resource for the students of Drexel University. Through the remarkable generosity of our donors, the collection has grown to be one of the finest teaching collections in the United States. As curator it is my responsibility to honor the educational intent of these donors, while preserving the collection for future generations.

Clare Sauro is Curator of the Drexel Historic Costume Collection at the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. Prior to this position, she supervised the Accessories Collection and worked as Assistant Curator in the Costume Collection at the Museum at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology.) In addition to her role as Curator of the Drexel Historic Costume Collection, Ms. Sauro teaches courses in the history of fashion at Drexel University.
