The Arts Administration Graduate Association (AAGA) will host their 10th Annual Art Auction on Friday, February 22nd at 7 PM in the lobby of the URBN Center (3501 Market St). The Art Auction is a fun evening featuring food, entertainment, and original art for sale, and the chance to bid for great tickets to performances and sporting events, as well as gift certificates to local restaurants – all to support our Arts Administration students’ advocacy on behalf of the arts.

The evening will feature entertainment by Philadelphia recording artist Lucy Stone and a special performance by members of the Fralinger String Band, 2013 Mummers champions. Tickets are available at the door for $15 ($10 for Drexel ID holders).

Proceeds from the auction support the AAGA’s annual trip to Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, DC. Organized by Americans for the Arts, this national summit brings together arts professionals from around the country. Drexel students will meet with congressional representatives to advocate for the importance of supporting the arts and arts education, support that the arts truly need in this time of reduced government and business support.
