25 Years of WHYY's RadioTimes featuring Marty Moss-Coane

February 16, 2012

WHYY’s Radio Times is Philadelphia’s longstanding talk radio program that tackles a wide range of issues pertinent to listeners in the Delaware Valley and beyond. Over the past 25 years, Radio Times host and executive producer Marty Moss-Coane has interviewed more than twenty thousand guests–everyone from Salman Rushdie to Bobbie McFerrin to Jane Fonda and countless politicians, educators, celebrities and opinion leaders. The Kal & Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies will welcome Moss-Coane for an interview with Rudman Institute Executive Director Karen Curry on Thursday, February 23rd at 6:30 PM. The interview will examine how to put together two hours of compelling talk radio five days a week, and the highs and lows of the past twenty five years of the show.  It is free and open to the public in Ruth Auditorium (125 Nesbitt Hall).

Radio Times is one of the region's most respected, local, FM interview and call-in programs. Marty Moss-Coane has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for Excellence in a Talk Show on radio; the Pennsylvania Associated Press Broadcasters Association for Excellence in Public Affairs; the American Women in Radio and Television for Excellence in focusing on the Women's Movement; and by Philadelphia magazine for hosting the Best Radio Program in Philadelphia.  Radio Times airs weekdays from 10 AM to 12 PM on WHYY 90.9 FM, the NPR station in Philadelphia.
