DNews Wins Telly July 12, 2011 The Telly Awards honor outstanding local, regional and cable television programs along with the finest video and film productions that are created for the web. We are proud to report that DNEWS, our monthly student-produced news magazine show that covers all things Philadelphia and airs on DUTV and DUTV.org, won a bronze Telly award for its October 2010 edition. The October edition featuring student coverage of the best of Philadelphia's fall attractions from apple and pumpkin picking at Linvilla Orchards to the haunted Eastern State Penitentiary, was, shall we say, an award winner. DNEWS is a fully produced student program and is open to all students at Drexel. Students research stories and pitch ideas, handle all aspects of production and post-production and receive faculty support from DUTV general manager Dave Culver and former ABC 20/20 producer Marty Zeid, who serves as the senior producer of DNEWS.
