February 20, 2011 Zhenya Kiperman's, Film & Video Professor, 13-minute version of his documentary VOICE JOURNEY won the Award of Merit at the 2011 Best Shorts Competition. The medical animation made for the film by Dave Mauriello, Digital Media Professor, with Digital Media students Jake Nichols and Nate Shaw, won a Silver Telly Award (the top award) for use of animation and a Bronze for educational work.
