April 20, 2009 — Work from the 2nd Annual Design Charrette is being exhibited at the Center for Architecture. Over 70 students from the College of Engineering, School of Biomedical Engineering, the College of Information, Science and Technology, LeBow College of Business, the School of Public Health, and the Westphal College's Architecture, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media and Entertainment & Arts Management programs participated in this year's Charrette, Urban Oasis. The teams created design solutions for existing Philadelphia public spaces to create affordable and innovative solutions for communities in today's economic times when services at schools, parks and libraries are being reduced. The models and drawings of the ten projects are on view Monday- Saturday (10-6 PM) and Sunday (12-5 PM) until April 23rd.
