Collab Student Design Competition

November 22, 2016

Five of our talented Product Design undergraduate students had their designs on display at the Philadelphia Museum of Art as part of the annual Collab Student Design Competition which took place on November 14. Congratulations to Libin Lian, Pradyuman Kodavatiganti, Lily Mcclure, Barbi Carreno and Carl Durkow for contributing to this year’s theme, For Kids Only. Collab asked designers to develop an object predominantly made of a single material to be utilized in a non-traditional, unexpected manner in the creation of a toy, piece of furniture, or combination of the two for a child under the age of ten.

For over twenty years Collab has provided a unique opportunity for regional university design students to experience competition outside the classroom, network with their peers and receive valuable feedback from nationally recognized industry leaders. Past themes have been Selfie, Diversity, Table It and Game On! This year’s Judges were global design leaders Caroline Tiger, Jaime Salm, Lisa Mahar, Jackie Promislo and Caroline Kim.
