Michael Ceras Youth in Revolt

November 23, 2009

The fall term may be coming to an end, but one of our biggest events is yet to come. Actor Michael Cera, star of Juno and Superbad, and his talented costar Portia Doubleday will be on campus for a special advance screening of the soon-to-be-released Dimension Films' Youth in Revolt. The film opens nationwide in January 2010, but your chance to see the film ahead of the crowds is on Tuesday, December 1st at 4 PM in the Bossone Auditorium. Following the screening, Cera and Doubleday will take questions from the audience.

Youth in Revolt is a coming-of-age comedy that puts a fresh and outrageous stamp on a tale of adolescent obsession and rebellion. Cera plays Nick Twisp, a unique but affable teen with a taste for the finer things in life, who falls hopelessly in love with the beautiful, free-spirited Sheeni Saunders (Doubleday). But family, geography and jealous ex-lovers conspire to keep these two apart. With Sheeni's encouragement, Nick abandons his dull, predictable life and develops a rebellious alter ego in an attempt to answer the age old question of how far will you go for love.

Film & Video Program Director Karin Kelly arranged the screening which is sure to be packed, so arrive early as seating is first come first served.
