The AW CoMAD Fashion Design program continues to garner accolades - three students took the top prizes at the "Your Mind's Eye View" design competition held during Career Day at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York on November 18, 2005. Students Brandi Laughery won $2,000 for first place in children's wear, Sarah Bernard won $1,000 for second place in children's wear, and Megan Stein won $1,000 for second place in men's wear. The students were presented their awards by American fashion designer Michael Kors, who also gave the keynote address. The event was sponsored by "The Fashion Group Foundation, Inc". Lisa Hayes was the faculty advisor for the students.
