Westphal College Website Manager / IT Support
POSITION: Within the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design a successful candidate will manage the college's computer studios, and information systems; research new technologies; provide training and technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students; and maintain the College website.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree required in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Web design and development experience, conforming to W3C standards and best practices; XHTML, CSS, ASP. At least 1 yr relevant experience in user support services, software/hardware maintenance, computer security, and/or general computer administration with Macintosh and Windows systems. Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software/ hardware. Advanced computer literacy in a Mac and PC environment. Experience with graphics, CAD, and 2D/3D video desirable. Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills are all also required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as Westphal College web manager; develop new web pages and functionality, keep site current, work closely with all programs to ensure needs are met. Provide assistance for additional digital graphic services; presentation graphics, digital photography, scanning, etc. Provide technical assistance, support, and advice to faculty, staff, and students; i.e. installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware/ software problems in a Mac and PC environment on individual computers and for academic computer labs. Other responsibilities include evaluating, researching, and implementing new equipment, computers, and information systems. Train and supervise student workers. Provide training to faculty, staff, and students as warranted.
