Film & Video: Tenure Track Faculty

Posting Summary: The Department of Cinema & Television at Drexel University's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design seeks an accomplished film professional for a tenure-track position in our Film & Video Program. Ideal candidates will be passionate and energetic about joining our established and highly regarded program and will continue to actively produce creative work. We are seeking a faculty member who can teach a mix of courses that focus on narrative storytelling. We have an intensive curriculum that develops the student's artistic vision through creatively challenging coursework under the supervision of a faculty of working filmmakers. We encourage the student's professional growth through a six-month Co-operative Education experience that requires all students to work within the industry. Therefore, an understanding of the business aspect of filmmaking is desirable. We expect candidates to be successful filmmakers or to be engaged in creative pursuits related to film and video.

Qualifications: Applicants should have a Masters' degree or equivalent professional accomplishment, successful teaching experience or the potential to become an excellent teacher, and a body of creative work. The position begins September 2008.

Responsibilities: Teaching a mix of courses in a variety of film production and craft areas and cinema studies. Active participation in our expanding program.
