Slava Garmash is a Fulbright grantee and a candidate for the MS in television management at Drexel University. Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. He holds a Masters of Arts degree in TV presenting skills, Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television named after I.K.Karpenko-Karyy, 2007. Master’s thesis: TV Presenter as a Dramatist. His career started in 2004 right before the Orange revolution on Kyiv’s local channel as a news reporter. While being a graduate student he created the international artistic project “To the Edge of the World for Heracles’ Cows”. His part in the project is entrepreneur of the project, director of the performance and actor. In 2007 he got a chance to create a new program on the 3rd biggest TV channel in Ukraine, STB TV channel (the share of 11,1% of the 18-54 auditorium). That brought up the longest aired and the most successful historical show in Ukrainian television, Searching for the Truth. Slava was the host of this TV show for more than 3 years. During that time, the team created around 100 programs, 44 minutes each. The show was aired in prime time on Mondays with repeats on Sundays (http://svoe.tv/video/44262/). Besides his work on STB channel, Slava used to teach TV presenting skills in Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television. In 2011 he won a Fulbright scholarship, left his channel and went to the USA to expand his knowledge, particularly in television management field.

My name is Alejandra Zannier. I am a Bolivian student and a Fulbright award recipient. Currently I am enrolled in the Ms. in Television Management program.
As an undergrad I majored in financial engineering but I have always been passionate about art and the media industry. My objective is to acquire knowledge about the creative and business aspects of media in order to become a full rounded professional. I am interested in several areas of Television management that include: research and programming, promotions, production, etc. I would like to intern at a television station in any of those areas.
My long term career objective is to work in development of primetime dramas for a cable or broadcast television network. I wish to obtain as much experience as possible while I am in the U.S. and apply all that knowledge when I return to my home country and hopefully have an impact on the future generations of media professionals in Bolivia.
