Damon is a Philadelphia actor and director. He earned a BA in Theatre cum laude from DeSales University and an MFA in Acting from Florida State University / Asolo Conservatory. At the Asolo, he had a concentration on the Classics culminating in productions of three Greek plays, a production of Way of the World, directed by Norman Ayrton and a summer spent in England training with Patsy Rodenburg and other members of the National Theatre and the RSC. He was also trained in Meisner by Jim Wise of the St Nicholas Theatre and currently Penn State. Since moving to Philly he has performed in nine of Shakespeare’s plays including Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet, Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing and the title role in Pericles. He has performed in the Philadelphia premiere of two Neil LaBute plays and the New Jersey premiere of Tuesday’s with Morrie. He has worked at the Walnut Street Theatre, Asolo Repertory Theatre, Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival, Act II Playhouse, four years at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and one at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival among others. This summer he directed The Taming of the Shrew for Commonwealth Classic Theatre Company and was chosen by the Philadelphia Theatre Initiative as one of fifteen Philadelphia theatre artists to attend the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario. He will be performing with Luna Theatre Company this winter and the Walnut Street Theatre in the spring.
