Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design
Overview
The broadcast, entertainment, and multimedia industries are exploding with new and exciting opportunities. The Film and Video program at Drexel prepares poised artists to secure these opportunities and leverage their skills and talent to realize their vision.
Professors in the Film and Video program are working filmmakers and writers who provide hands-on learning in Film and Video production. Students begin producing digital films in their freshman year and continue to produce right through to their final senior projects. In addition to video and 16mm film, interdepartmental courses expand minds and cultivate the voices of the newest generation of filmmakers. A highly competitive program, only fifty freshmen are accepted annually. This enables smaller classes that foster student-faculty interaction and mentoring, as well as ample access to equipment. The unique Drexel Co-Op enhances the learning experience by providing students with professional employment experience.
