D&M Student Ambassadors 2023-2024
 

Isabelle Dunham is a Junior in Design & Merchandising. She is passionate about digital marketing, sustainable design, and identifying innovative approaches to style. She loves the D&M program for its diverse range of teachers and mentors that work in the industry. During her time at Drexel thus far, she has interned for New York Bridal fashion week, Irina Sigal Dressmaker, Lehigh Valley Style magazine, and Barbara Kavchok Couture. Isabelle hopes to pursue a career working in buying or in Bridal wear. She is happy to answer any questions about her experience at Drexel and talk about the many opportunities the D&M program has to offer. 

Olivia Shepherd is a junior Design & Merchandising major with a wide range of interests in product development, graphic design, visual merchandising, and event planning which she hopes to use to pursue a future career in product line management. She loves that the D&M program is so well rounded but has so many opportunities and resources to let you explore your own interests within the fashion industry. In the fall, Olivia is excited to participate in the Accademia Italiana study abroad program in Florence where she is hoping to get a unique perspective on fashion and how it is influenced by other cultures. Olivia is currently doing an event planning internship at Grant Blvd/ Black Ivy where she designs, plans, and coordinates in-store experiences and events as well as manages the brand’s calendar and event information. She is happy to answer any questions about her experience at Drexel and the D&M program.

Hala Idrees is a sophomore in Design & Merchandising. I was drawn to this major when researching for something that would let me be creative while keeping a business-minded outlook. I am passionate about product development, advertising, sustainability, as well as entrepreneurship. I love the program because of how many industry niches you are exposed to, and the variety of collaborations you are able to do with your peers. I also look forward to studying abroad during my time here at Drexel. In the future, I hope to own my own established jewelry brand as I already have a small jewelry business, I do pop ups around the city currently. I am happy to answer any and all questions about not only the D&M program but anything about my experience at Drexel as well! 

Wendy Woffington is a D&M student from Cincinnati, Ohio. Wendy chose Drexel specifically for this program and loves it! In her free time, she plays tennis on the club tennis team and acts and models around the city of Philadelphia. Wendy hope to one day work in the fashion industry as a stylist, brand manager, or creative director. Feel free to reach out with any questions at wfw34@drexel.edu 

Lynsie Coccia is a sophomore in Design and Merchandising. She loves styling clients in a sustainable way, usually with secondhand clothing. Over the last 3 years, Lynsie has built a vintage clothing company selling affordable, sustainable options to people all around the country. She has also begun to work on style bundles which cater to the client's overall aesthetic and style goals. Unexpectedly, she also fell in love with fashion shows after working at NYFW in the winter of 2023. This singular event has opened her eyes to a portion of the industry that she is truly passionate about. She absolutely loves the D&M program as it has opened her eyes to the countless sectors of the fashion industry. Lynsie is happy to answer any questions about her experience so far in the D&M program along with all the opportunities Drexel has to offer.  

Nyah Khan is a Design and Merchandising sophomore with additional involvement in Music Industry involving business and production. She is also passionate about sustainability in the fashion world and aspires to develop solutions to the industry's issues on a global level. Her areas of interest in fashion include marketing & media, fashion styling in the music industry, visual merchandising, and branding & creative directing. Nyah is also the Social Media and Marketing Executive Officer for Drexel's Retail and Design (RAD) club this year and is excited to expand the club's engagement and creative aspirations. She aims to study abroad at the London School of fashion in Summer 2024 to further develop her fashion styling and global knowledge. She is always happy to talk about D&M and her experience for any questions or just a conversation! 

Julia Kulik is currently a freshman in Design & Merchandising. She is passionate about styling, editorials, trend forecasting, and size inclusivity in the fashion industry. Before she came to Drexel, she had the opportunity to go to Hearst Communications with Seventeen Magazine and spend two weeks learning about their company and visiting various brands such as H&M and Henri Bendel and networking with their staff, which inspired her to pursue a career in fashion. Julia recently was able to join Drexel D&M at New York Bridal fashion week and intern for the day at Kleinfeld Bridal of "Say Yes to the Dress". She was initially attracted to Drexel's Design & Merchandising program because of its unique variety of courses that allows students to learn about every role in the fashion industry. Julia hopes to pursue a career in styling and/or merchandising and is happy to answer any questions regarding her experience at Drexel and all that the Design & Merchandising program has to offer! 

Allie Gress is a senior Design & Merchandising major with a minor in marketing. She is also in the Pennoni Honors College. During junior year, she found her passions of visual merchandising and marketing during her Co-Op at LAGOS. While there, she was the Marketing/Visual Merchandising Co-Op and was able to design and install window displays at the flagship store in Rittenhouse Square. Not only was she drawn to Drexel for the Co-Op program, but also because of the prestige D&M program and the alumni connections. Allie studied abroad in Seoul, South Korea this past summer and learned more about the global fashion industry during this amazing experience. In addition, she is the National Retail Foundation’s (NRF) student ambassador for 2023, serving as a liaison between the NRF’s opportunities and the students at Drexel. She also has experience as a Design I Tutor and as a Marketing & Communications Intern with Shauna Brook Marketing & Communications. Allie is happy to answer all questions about the D&M program!

Zetta Megenhardt is a sophomore Design & Merchandising major, enthusiastic about exploring the various paths the program offers to discover her true calling within the fashion industry. During her first year, she found a passion for branding, and entrepreneurship in the fashion world. Her plans for the future include studying abroad and expanding her work experience. Zetta is eager to share her experiences within the D&M program and answer any questions about her journey so far, as she truly enjoys the multidisciplinary aspects of the major.
 
Krysta Mendoza is a junior Design and Merchandising Major. She is an aspiring Fashion Marketer and Storyteller with over a year of hands-on experience. Throughout her journey through college and beyond, she has grown a passion for the non-profit, sector, DEI-initiatives and cultural exploration through marketing and storytelling. During her time at Drexel thus far, she has interned at RAISEfashion as a PR & Communications Intern, supporting the organization’s mission to support BIPOC designers. In the future, Krysta hopes to become a young professional that not only excels in Fashion Markteting but aslo advocates for social responsibility and positive change. She is happy to answer any questions about her experiences thus far as well as any questions related to Drexel and the D&M program.

 

Jacob Wise is a junior in Design and Merchandising. He has an interest in styling and visual merchandising.  Additionally, he is very passionate about sustainability within the industry and hopes to start his own sustainable clothing brand. He loves the D&M program for its wide range of courses allowing students to explore their different interests in the fashion industry. So far at Drexel, he has had the opportunity to help with the launch of the online D&M magazine and also intern for Grant Blvd and Black Ivy. While interning he was able to learn more about what it meant to run sustainable brands. In the fall/winter terms, Jacob is thrilled to be working at Place Showroom in New York for his Co-Op. He is happy to answer any questions about the D&M program and Drexel!

Bella Saponaro is a senior Design & Merchandising major. She was drawn to, and now loves, the D&M program for its wide exposure to so many aspects of the fashion industry. Since being at Drexel she has participated in an internship with a Philly based menswear company, Commonwealth Proper, which then turned into a part-time job as their Assistant Director of Operations. Last fall term Bella is participated in one of Drexel’s study abroad programs offered to D&M students at Accademia Italiana in Florence, Italy and learned more about the Italian culture and global fashion industry. During the Spring/Summer term of her junior year Bella did her co-op in the visual department at LAGOS, based in Philadelphia. Through this co-op she learned the nuances of visual merchandising in fine jewelry displays and store set ups. As a result of her time at LAGOS, Bella hopes to work in visual merchandising at a fine jewelry company in the future. She is happy to answer any questions regarding her experience at Drexel and what the D&M program has to offer!


Hi! My name is Sam Schultheis, I am a 3rd year D&M student at Drexel. In addition to this, I also have a heavy focus on sustainability and next generation materials. Growing up, I lived on a farm, and there began the birth of my passions for the environment and industry. I love to explore materiality and look to study abroad in a Spanish speaking country for my co-op experience. I am happy to chat with anyone about sustainable fashion and my experience in the D&M program.

 

Hi! I'm Daryn Conner! I’m a sophomore in the Design and Merchandising program at Drexel. I’m a student athlete here on the Women’s Soccer team. I’m 19 years old and from Loomis, California. I love to shop, go to the gym, and hang out with friends!
