Job Overview

Within the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, a successful candidate will serve as the Westphal College Print Center Attendant to deliver excellent customer service, operate a variety of printing equipment and computers, learn essential software applications, and communicate effectively with other faculty, staff, and students. This part-time position offers up to 19 hours a week.

Qualifications

  • Proficient experience with printing equipment, including large format plotters and multifunctional color copiers.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications, machine functionality, and critical systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle many issues at the same time.

Essential Functions

  • Manage effective and efficient use of machines and systems to meet expectations and timelines.
  • Support procedures, processes and programs in the print lab.
  • Handle financial transactions.
  • Perform multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Provide friendly, polite, and expert service to all faculty, staff, and students.
  • Assist in the training of student workers.
  • Provide knowledge, direction and other input as needed to all faculty, staff, and students.
  • Maintain inventory of printing supplies.
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment problems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility, and ensure that safety precautions are being followed.
  • Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
