How To Become A Workstudy

Interested in joining the D&I Studios as a workstudy? Everyone is welcome, you do not have to be an AWComad student to sign up. Just follow the four simple steps below!

Step One: Find out if you have Financial Aid for Workstudy

  1. Login to Drexel One using your Drexel Username and Password
  2. Select the STUDENTS tab and look for the section that says BILLING & FINANCIAL AID
  3. Select the link to MY OVERALL STATUS OF FINANCIAL AID and then choose your current academic year
  4. Select the link for your AWARDED financial aid and look for the listing of a WORKSTUDY AWARD
    • If there is a listing for awarded Workstudy funds, proceed to STEP TWO
    • If there is no listing for awarded Workstudy funds, you cannot be a workstudy. Sorry, try again next year!

Step Two: Sign Up To Be A Workstudy

  1. Fill out all of the fields in the SIGN UP form found below
    • Make sure you are eligible in terms of financial aid before submitting this form. To find out if you are eligible, go back to STEP ONE. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT THE FORM IF YOU DO NOT HAVE WORKSTUDY FUNDING
  2. If you are eligible for workstudy, you should recieve an e-mail from the D&I staff concerning an interview

Step Three: Access the "Worktudy New Hire Paperwork" found at the following link:

  1. If you have never been a workstudy before, read the packet carefully and complete the necessary EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION DATA and I- 9 VERIFICATION FORMS in this packet. Print your completed forms out and bring them as soon as possible to the HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT (3201 ARCH STREET, 4th Floor). Remember, you will need to have required proof of identification with you in order for HR to process your documentation.
  2. Check to see if you have an EMPLOYEES tab on Drexel One
    • Once your position has been verified, you will be able to log your hours through Drexel One and recieve payment
    • If you do not verify your position with SCDC, you will not be able to report your hours through Drexel One and you will not be paid

Step Four: Welcome To The D&I Team!

  1. Proceed to the section on Responsibilities and congratulate yourself on becoming a workstudy!
