Permission to Keep Lab open
Permission to keep any lab open is a privilege, not a right.
To have permission for this privilege you must understand the responsibilities listed below.
All requests will be reviewed but not guaranteed. YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST BEFORE 4:30 p.m. ON THE DAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO STAY (Do Not Request a Week or Two Days in Advance). A list will be posted at 5:00pm everyday of those students granted permission to keep the lab open. You may only gain permission by using the form below.
Staying Late Responsibilities
1) Each term you are required to fill out a new AFTER HOURS APPROVAL FORM. Please fill this form out and present it to your instructor to review and sign. Once you have your instructors signature you need to give the form to Dede, in 213 in Nesbitt. If there is not an AHA form on file for you permission to stay after hours will not be granted.
2) Check the requests page to see if your name appears, remember you should be signed up with a buddy and the list may not be complete until 5:00.
3) Be prepared to show a workstudy student your Drexel ID when they come around to close the lab.
4) While staying late, the door to the lab you are in must remain closed at all times. If someone comes along and wants to use the lab you must check the late list located in the requests section to verify they have permission to use the lab. If you do not see their name you should not allow them to use the lab, if you let someone use the lab that has not been given permission and is not on the late list, you will lose privileges.
5) Never leave a lab unattended, this is another reason why you must have a buddy.
6) All lab rules still apply(see the rules section of the D&I web site).
7) If you are the last group to leave, it is your responsibility to shut down all computers and turn off all lights associated with the lab you are staying in.
8) When you leave make sure the door is closed and locked behind you.
9) Above all please respect the labs, they are here for your use.
ANY VIOLATIONS IN THE STATED ABOVE WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF AFTER HOUR PRIVILEGES.
ONLY THE PEOPLE ON THE LIST ARE ALLOWED TO STAY IN THE LAB AFTER HOURS for example you and a buddy have been given permission and your name is on the list,but your friend "jane" wants to stay with you too. Well unless "Jane's" name is on that list too, she can not stay. If you are caught letting someone stay in the lab who does not have permission, you will loose your privileges to stay late.
