D&I Store/Print Prices
The prices for the D&I Store & Printing can be found here and in the FAQ section of this site
Graphic Design Ink Inventory
The 2nd floor graphic design is checked weekly. New shipments come in Tuesdays. A count of what is new needs to be taken EVERY TUESDAY and then a count of what is old is counted as well. All ink is stored in the 224 closet.
Download the GD INK INVENTORY and print out the form. Fill out the form with the new count and hand it to Bill Rees when completed. He is in charge of all the ink ordering.
If you need to change the 2nd floor ink, make sure to place the used ink cartridge in the correct box. Each different ink has its own used box in the closet in the workstudy office.
Plotting and Printing Responsibilities
Make sure to log all plots and prints in the Blue Binder located in the work study office. A daily morning count should always be taken and the last one to leave should make a count, as well.
Plotters are located on the 3rd and 5th floors and are mostly used by interior design students. The 5th floor plotters should only be used by interior graduate students and are managed by Graduate Assistants.
Plotting ink is stored in the work study office along with plotter heads.
8 1/2 x 11 and 11 x 17 size paper is located on the 5th floor in the 514 closet. All labs should have at least 1 package of each paper size in them AT ALL TIMES. There is also a storage area located in the work study office that can be filled with paper to make it more convenient
Color Printing
There is a color printer located in the work study office. The ink is stored in the closet of the work study office. Check document file setups of students who wish to print using the color printer to make sure they are not set up to exceed the maximum paper size of 11 x 17.
- AW Comad students come into the workstudy office to print on the color laser printer. Copy their files onto the desktop and then open them for printing
- All the color paper is in the workstudy office and is the ONLY paper that can be used or put through the printer
- The only sizes that will come out from this printer is 8 1/2 x 11 and 11 x 17
Graphic Design Epson Printers
- There are a number of Epson Ink Jet printers available for GD students in the 2nd floor labs
- Students are NOT to change the ink, they should always come and get a workstudy
- There will be a few Epson printers that are labeled specifically for photo or matte paper. This means they will get either photo or matte black ink. When changing ink in those, please pay extra attention
- Epson printers are set up to print through a RIP server. We can walk you through this process so you better understand it
- The Epson 7600 printer is located in the closed in room 224. This printer has a special ColorRIP server and a special computer that is set up solely for printing to it. There is an extra charge for using this printer and students should have already made test prints on a smaller Epson before printing to the 7600
